So embarassing

You know how sometimes books have quotes on the back from other authors or reviews extolling the virtues of the book? Jeff told me last night that Modoc, my book about elephants? It has a quote on the back from Betty White. Betty. White. From the Golden Girls!!!

If the quote had been from Bea Arthur, that would have been enough to sell me on the book. Betty is kind of embarrassing though. I'm not surprised she's into elephant stories. I'm a little surprised you're into elephant stories, though. That reminds me, Water for Elephants is a huge piece of shit! Don't read it!
